Launch Video Maker is run by Adapt Progress Evolve Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10047328). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].

What we collect

• Your email address, to sign you in with a link and to tell you when your video needs you or is ready.
• The website address you give us, and what we read from that public site: text, colours, fonts, logo and screenshots.
• Your order: the facts you approve or reject, the style and package you choose, and the videos we make.
• Payment status. Stripe handles your card; we never see or store card details. We receive the amount paid and a payment reference.
• Anonymous usage counts: which pages and order steps are used, with no cookie and nothing that identifies you (see below).
• Basic security data: your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-in requests.

Why, and our lawful basis

We use this data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep the service secure and to count how the site is used so we can improve it (legitimate interests), and to meet tax and accounting duties (legal obligation). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare: hosts this site and stores orders and videos.
• Stripe: takes payments.
• Resend: sends our emails.
• Firecrawl: fetches the public pages of the website you give us.
• Anthropic: its Claude models read your site's content to find facts and write your video. Content sent through its API is not used to train its models.
• Modal: renders the video and its sound.
• Hetzner: hosts our own server, which runs the video pipeline (reading your site, taking screenshots, writing and checking the reel) and keeps the working files for your order.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How we measure the site

We count visits with our own script, and the numbers are stored in our own Cloudflare account. It records which pages are viewed (without anything after the ? in the address, so order links stay private), how far down a page you scroll, how long it was on screen, the site you arrived from, your device size (phone, tablet or desktop), the country Cloudflare reports, and which steps of an order were taken: a website submitted, the style mode and package chosen, the payment button pressed, a video downloaded. It never records your IP address, your browser's user agent, your email address, your website address or the facts in your order. A random id kept in your tab's session storage groups one visit together and is forgotten when the tab closes. There is no cookie and no tracking across other sites. The script respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and you can switch it off for this browser, which leaves a single "off" flag in its local storage:

Cookies

We set one cookie, lvm_session, which keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary, so we do not ask for consent. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, orders and videos so you can come back and download them. Payment records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Ask us at any time and we will delete everything else.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
