Launch Video Maker

Launch videos for online shops

Published 28 September 2026.

For a shop, a launch video sells one product or one drop, not the whole store. Make a 15-second vertical cut that shows the product in the first second, gives the price, names the one reason to buy now and ends on your shop's address; then make another for the next product, rather than one video for everything.

A 15-second reel we made for our own product, ScriptGrain, in the thermal receipt look. A till receipt is a natural frame for a price, a product name and a checkout. Make one like this The look: Thermal receipt / ticket.

What to show, beat by beat

For a 15-second vertical cut:

  1. 0 to 2 seconds: the product. Your best photo, full frame. In a feed of other people's holidays, the product has to be recognisable before anyone reads a word.
  2. 2 to 7 seconds: what it is and who it's for. "Hand-thrown mugs, made in Leeds" beats "elevate your morning ritual".
  3. 7 to 11 seconds: the price and the offer. The real price, and the launch offer if there is one, with when it ends.
  4. 11 to 15 seconds: the shop. Your web address, plus what makes ordering easy, like free UK delivery over a set amount, but only if it's on your site.

A 30-second cut can show two or three products from the same drop, one after another, each with its price.

Which shape and length for which channel

Facts first: prices and offers

Shop videos are adverts, and in the UK adverts have to be accurate about prices and offers. A "was £40, now £25" claim needs the £40 to have been a real price, and "only 5 left" has to be true when people see it. The simplest rule is also the easiest to check: every price, discount and delivery promise in the video should match your product page on the day you post. If the offer ends, stop running the video, or don't put the end date in it.

Mistakes to avoid

How Launch Video Maker would make it

Give us your shop's web address, or a product page. We read your public pages, take your colours, fonts, logo and the images from your site, and list the facts we could show, such as a price, a delivery promise or what a product is made from, each with the words and the page they came from. You approve the ones you want, and nothing else goes on screen. Then pick a look and a genre, start from one of our reels (like the receipt one above), or let us choose.

One 15-second vertical cut is a Short, £9, so you can make one per product. If you want 9:16, 4:5 and 16:9 from the same reel, the Bundle is £49. Start with your shop's address.
