Launch videos for agencies
Published 28 September 2026.
Agencies spend their days launching other people's work and rarely make time to announce their own. A new service, a rebrand, a new studio or a case study you're proud of each deserves a short video, and each one should say what's new, who it's for and where to find out more. Make it 15 to 30 seconds, in 4:5 for LinkedIn and 16:9 for your website.
A note on client work. Our terms let you use each video to promote your own business, so this page is about your agency's own launches. They don't cover making videos for clients or reselling them. If that's what you have in mind, email [email protected] before you order.
Which agency launches deserve a video
- A new service. Say what it is and who it's for in one line. Goal: a first enquiry from the right kind of client.
- A rebrand. Show the new identity in motion, with the name and the web address. Goal: people notice it's the same agency.
- A new studio or city. The address, the opening date and what changes for clients there. Goal: meetings with local businesses.
- A published case study. The client's result, in their words from the case study. Goal: a click through to read it.
What to show, beat by beat
For a 15-second service launch:
- 0 to 3 seconds: the result, not the process. "Product pages that rank" beats "we're thrilled to announce".
- 3 to 8 seconds: who it's for. One line naming the kind of client, so the right people recognise themselves.
- 8 to 12 seconds: one proof point. A result you've already published on your site, word for word.
- 12 to 15 seconds: your name and where to go. A short page address, not the homepage.
Which shape and length for which channel
- LinkedIn: 4:5 or 16:9, 15 to 30 seconds, posted from the company page and shared by the team. See our LinkedIn video specs.
- YouTube and your website: 16:9, 30 seconds, on the service page itself. If you'll put money behind it, see our YouTube ad specs.
- Threads: 4:5 alongside a post explaining the launch. See our Threads video specs.
Facts first
An agency's claims get checked by exactly the people it wants to win. So every figure in the video should already be on your site, attributed the same way. A case study reel needs the client's permission to name them and show their logo, and the result should be the one they signed off in the written case study. Awards need the year and the category. If a result was a team effort with another agency, say so on the page, or leave the number out of the reel.
Mistakes to avoid
- A logo wall of clients. Twenty logos in two seconds can't be read on a phone, and some clients won't have agreed to it.
- Describing your process. Nobody hires a "discovery, strategy, delivery" workflow; they hire the outcome.
- A showreel of everything. One service per video is easier to remember than ten.
- Pointing to the homepage. Send people to the page for the thing you're launching.
How Launch Video Maker would make it
Give us the address of the page for your new service, studio or case study, and we'll list the facts we could show (the service, who it's for, a result, a location) with the words and the page each came from, for you to approve. Nothing you don't approve goes on screen. Pick one of our 22 looks, or let us choose one that suits your brand. A 15-second cut is the Short, £9; the Bundle (£49) cuts one reel for LinkedIn's 4:5, your website's 16:9 and vertical feeds. Start with your service page.
If you're weighing us against doing it in-house, see Launch Video Maker vs hiring a motion designer. For the order of beats in a longer video, see how to make a launch video.
