Short answer: invideo AI turns a prompt or script into a video, generating images, footage, voice and music with credits, and gives you a timeline editor to finish it. It's the better fit if you want a talking, stock-footage style of video, lots of them, or a voice-over. Launch Video Maker doesn't generate footage or voices: it writes a motion-graphics reel from your own website, with only facts you approve on screen, for £9 to £49 a video, no subscription.

What invideo gives you
invideo's pricing page lists three paid plans, each per seat: Starter with 400 credits a month, Plus with 2,000 and Max with 5,000. Credits pay for AI work, which its help centre describes as agent processing and generating images, video, voice and music. Editing by hand on the timeline and exporting don't use credits, and unused credits don't roll over. Every plan includes the timeline editor and colour, audio and 3D tools. Its help centre says you can use invideo AI free, without a card, with limited credits that reset weekly, and that projects exported before you subscribe keep their watermarks.
On licensing, invideo's terms give you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and commercialise what you make, subject to the terms of any licensed stock it includes.
Where invideo is the better choice
- You need a voice-over. It generates voice, and we don't.
- Footage matters more than design. Stock and AI-generated clips are part of what it does (ours is motion graphics of your brand).
- You make many videos a month. Credits suit volume.
- Tinkering is half the fun. The timeline is yours to change as long as you like.
