Short answer: Adobe Express is a design app with video templates, a large Adobe Stock library and brand kits, and you edit the video yourself. It's good value if you make lots of social graphics and short videos, and the free plan goes a long way. Premium is £9.98 a month. Launch Video Maker is a one-off purchase: we write a motion reel from your website, with facts you approve and music made for it, for £9 to £49.

What Adobe Express gives you
The free plan includes over 100,000 static and video templates, over a million royalty-free Adobe Stock photos, videos, music tracks and design elements, 4,000+ fonts, standard photo and video editing tools and 5 GB of storage. Premium, at £9.98 a month billed monthly with a 30-day free trial, adds every premium template, over 200 million Stock assets, the full Adobe Fonts library, video background removal, advanced animation, one-click resizing for different channels, brand kits and 250 generative AI credits a month. Adobe's plan comparison lists 4K export on Premium and Firefly Pro, not on Free.
Firefly Pro, at £19.99 a month, is Premium plus 4,000 monthly credits for Adobe's AI video and audio features and Photoshop on the web and mobile. Teams is priced per licence: £6.67 a month before VAT, with a first-year offer of £4.17, and a two-seat minimum.
Using it for a business
Adobe's general terms license its content files so you can use them inside the thing you make, and not on their own. Its Adobe Express terms add that some third-party content you can search from inside the app may be for personal, non-commercial use only, and that Adobe Stock assets under a "Limited License" can't go into templates or merchandise for sale outside Adobe's apps unless your end use is an original work. Adobe's plan comparison also ticks "Commercial use" for content made with its Firefly AI features on Free, Premium and Firefly Pro. One quirk worth knowing: Adobe's help page for the free plan notes that Stock assets sometimes move from free to paid without notice.

Where Adobe Express is the better choice
- You make graphics as well as video. One subscription covers posts, flyers and short videos, with a brand kit to keep them consistent.
- You'll make something every week. A month of Premium, at £9.98, costs less than one of our Reels (£29).
- You like to design. Templates are a starting point and you control every scene.
- You need stock footage. We don't use stock libraries; Adobe's is huge.
Where Launch Video Maker is the better choice
- You need one launch reel, not another subscription. Pay once per video.
- You'd rather not write or design it. We draft the words from your site, and only facts you approve go on screen.
- You want a designed look, not a template. Each reel is made in one of our looks; see the looks.
- Music is part of it. The soundtrack and sound effects are generated for your video, so there's nothing to license.
