What Promo.com gives you

Promo.com's UK pricing page lists three self-serve plans, priced per user per month. Basic is £29 billed yearly (£348) or £59 monthly, with 120 premium Getty Images clips, one brand and 200 licensed music tracks, but no PromoAI videos. Standard is £59 (£708 a year) or £119, with 360 PromoAI videos, 3,600 premium clips, three brands and 1,000 tracks. Pro, "for professional marketers and agencies", is £199 (£2,388 a year) or £399, with 3,600 PromoAI videos, 36,000 clips, ten brands, 2,000 tracks and white-label and reselling rights. Business is priced on request.

You can sign up free, with no card, and make as many drafts as you like. Its FAQ says downloaded videos carry no watermark or Promo.com mention, and every plan exports at 1080p. There's a 7-day money-back guarantee, but only if you haven't downloaded, published or scheduled a video.

Using it for a business

Promo.com's pricing page describes its commercial rights as "online use for advertising, marketing, promotions and publications", not including editorial content. Its terms say you can post your videos online and keep using them after your subscription ends. They also say you can't show the videos on television or in cinemas, can't edit a video once you've downloaded it (its images, music or text included), and can't combine it with another piece of video. Only Pro, Pro-Lite, Agency and custom plan users may pass their rights on to someone else. Clips marked "editorial" can't be used commercially at all.

Is that a problem for a launch? It can be. If you planned to cut the video into a longer film or add your own end card afterwards, do it inside Promo.com before you download.
